A 36-inch CAD plotter for bid sets, check sets, and busy print rooms
- Less downtime. Canon says hot-swap ink tanks and user-installable printheads and maintenance cartridges help keep downtime low.
- Continuous ink supply. It ships with a 330ml matte black tank and 160ml color tanks, and a tubing system with sub-tanks keeps ink flowing.
- Faster check sets. Canon rates the TX-3300 at up to 3.3 ARCH D prints per minute, measured after the first print in Fast Q5 mode on plain paper.
- Fine-line accuracy. Canon lists line accuracy of 0.1% or less on line-drawing media after user adjustment, with a theoretical minimum line weight of 0.02 mm.
- Second roll or take-up reel. The optional multifunction roll unit adds a second roll of media or works as a take-up reel for continuous printing.
- Roll widths from 6 inches. Roll and cut-sheet media run 6 to 36 inches wide, and roll media can print borderless at custom widths from 6 to 36 inches.
- Crisper print lines. Canon says the reformulated matte black ink gives sharper lines and text.
Who this is not for: The TX-3300 prints up to 36 inches wide and has no built-in scanner. If you want scanning, look at the TX-3310 MFP Z36. If you want a smaller, lighter 36-inch plotter, look at the TM-610, which Canon lists at about 138.9 pounds versus 242.5 pounds for the TX-3300.

*Canon measures speed after the first print in Fast Q5 mode on plain paper, based on internal testing. Speed varies with the number of copies and the size, type, and orientation of the paper.
**Canon says line accuracy repeatability is guaranteed after a user performs the necessary adjustment under the same environmental conditions, and applies to line-drawing media only (plain paper, coated paper, CAD translucent matte film, and CAD tracing paper).
***Canon lists the multipositional flat stacking basket as expected to be available in Q4 2026.
Frequently Asked Questions
How wide can the Canon imagePROGRAF TX-3300 print?
The Canon imagePROGRAF TX-3300 prints up to 36 inches wide on roll or cut-sheet media from 6 to 36 inches wide. Roll media can print borderless at custom widths from 6 to 36 inches with Micro Margin Technology. Maximum print length is 59 feet on roll and 63 inches on cut sheet, and it varies by application.
How fast is the Canon imagePROGRAF TX-3300?
Canon rates the imagePROGRAF TX-3300 at up to 3.3 ARCH D (24 by 36 inches) prints per minute. Canon measures this after the first print in Fast Q5 mode on plain paper, based on internal testing. Speed varies with the number of copies and with the size, type, and orientation of the paper.
What does the optional multifunction roll unit do on the Canon imagePROGRAF TX-3300?
The optional multifunction roll system (RU-34) for the Canon imagePROGRAF TX-3300 adds a second roll of media or works as a take-up reel for continuous printing. Canon describes the second-roll use as switching back and forth between popular media. It is listed as an option, not as part of the printer box.
What ink does the Canon imagePROGRAF TX-3300 use?
The Canon imagePROGRAF TX-3300 uses a five-color LUCIA TD pigment ink set and ships with a 330ml matte black tank and 160ml tanks of each other color. Replacement tanks come in 160ml and 330ml sizes: PFI-113 or PFI-313 for matte black, PFI-111 or PFI-311 for magenta, and PFI-110 or PFI-310 for black, cyan, and yellow. Canon lists a 700ml size for service authorized partners only.
What security features does the Canon imagePROGRAF TX-3300 have?
The Canon imagePROGRAF TX-3300 has a 256 GB encrypted hard drive. Canon says the TX Series offers security features to help protect against unauthorized printing, device access, and network intrusions or data tampering. Canon notes it does not warrant that its security features will prevent security issues.
Does the Canon imagePROGRAF TX-3300 have a built-in scanner?
No. The Canon imagePROGRAF TX-3300 is a print-only Canon plotter. Canon's TX-3310 MFP Z36 adds the Z36 scanner, which lists a 36-inch maximum scan width and 1200 dpi optical resolution. If you want scanning and copying with this printer family, look at that model instead.
How is the Canon imagePROGRAF TX-3300 different from the TM-615?
The Canon imagePROGRAF TX-3300 is heavier than the TM-615 and ships with larger ink tanks. Canon lists about 242.5 pounds versus 143.3, and 330ml matte black and 160ml color tanks versus 130ml and 90ml. Canon rates the TX-3300 at up to 3.3 ARCH D prints per minute versus 3.2. Both print up to 36 inches wide.
