We offer a 45-day return policy to ensure the products you purchase meet your expectations for quality and performance. This policy is designed to give you confidence in your investment while ensuring fairness to all our customers.
By purchasing from TAVCO, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms.
Return Process
- Request an RMA: To initiate a return, please email us at info@tavco.net within 45 calendar days of receiving your product. You must obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number. Returns without a valid Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) will not be accepted.
- Return Shipping: All return shipping charges must be prepaid. For your protection, we strongly recommend using an insured and trackable shipping service (e.g., UPS, FedEx). TAVCO is not responsible for lost or damaged return shipments.
Return Conditions & Fair Use
To ensure we can continue offering high-quality products and a generous return window, all returns are subject to inspection. The condition of the returned product will determine the refund amount.
- Full Refund: A full refund will be issued for products returned in unopened, factory-sealed, and resalable condition.
- Restocking Fee for Opened Products: A restocking fee will be applied to opened products to account for the diminished value. This fee is structured to differentiate between reasonable evaluation and excessive use.
- Standard Restocking Fee (15%): A 15% restocking fee applies to products that have been opened but show only minimal signs of use, consistent with a customer evaluating the product's suitability. The product must be returned in its original packaging with all accessories, manuals, and parts.
- Excessive Use Fee (30-50%): A restocking fee of 30% to 50% will be applied to products that show signs of significant or excessive use. This fee is reserved for situations where the product's implied use was to complete a task or project before being returned.
Defining and Verifying Excessive Use
"Excessive use" is defined as operation beyond what is reasonably necessary to evaluate the product's features and performance. TAVCO reserves the right to make this determination upon inspection.
Examples of Excessive Use: This includes, but is not limited to:
High-volume operation of equipment (e.g., extensive scan counts on a scanner, high print volume on a printer).
- Use of a product for commercial production or a significant project.
- Physical signs of wear and tear, cosmetic damage, or removal of protective films.
- Consuming a considerable portion of included consumable items (e.g., ink, toner, media).
Verification: To ensure fairness, TAVCO reserves the right to inspect the product and access its internal diagnostic and usage logs (such as scan counters, operational hours, or print volume reports) to determine the extent of use
Non-Returnable Products- Products returned without a valid RMA.
- Custom-sized or special-order items (these are still covered by our quality and compliance guarantee).
- Products that have been damaged by the user, modified, or altered in any way.
- Products returned with missing components, accessories, or original packaging.
Defective Merchandise or Shipment Errors
- Defective Products: If you believe a product is faulty, please don't hesitate to contact our technical support at service@tavco.net within 30 days of receipt. Troubleshooting with the manufacturer may be required to verify the defect. If deemed defective by TAVCO or the manufacturer, we will provide an exchange or a full refund.
- Freight Damage: Please inspect all shipments upon arrival. If you notice damage, refuse the delivery and notify us within five business days. If you accept the package, note the damage on the carrier's delivery record and contact us immediately for instructions.
- TAVCO Shipment Errors: If we made an error in your shipment, contact us within five business days. We will correct the issue at no cost to you, including providing a prepaid return label.
Reservation of Rights
TAVCO is committed to a fair and transparent policy. We reserve the right to refuse a return or charge additional fees in cases of suspected policy abuse, fraud, or repeated patterns of excessive use followed by returns.
